Visual Clouds

For this post I have created visual clouds of pictures and within these visual clouds there are the tags that I found the pictures under.  My big idea is power and I found that these tags related to the idea very well.  The words authority, dominance and control were synonyms of the word power, so I used those words on flickr to find my images.  As I was looking at these tags I found a couple other that I found interesting and could be linked back to my big idea.  Those two terms were human rights and outnumbered.  Overall I was able to find some images that went great with my big idea.

This piece of artwork tackles many of the matters people deal with today.  At first when you look at this you just see the obvious and that would be a slow moving snale that has many lottery machines coming out of him, and there is clearly a large amount of money coming out of his backside.  But, when you look closley you can see it deals with issues from years ago and today.  It is showing that people that gamble are in a way putting there life on hold or slowing it down.  They are preventing themselves from being able to do what they want with their life.  They are literally earning their money and "pooping" it out.  Meaning they are wasting time by even earning this money because they get rid of it so quickly.  Individuals with gambling problems have to realize what they are putting their loved ones through.  It is crucial in life to put your priorities in the right order.

Looking at this artwork it is easy to see that the milk in a way is charging the brain and making everything work.  Also, the milk has wings.  But the question is why is everything plugged into the "milk".  What this is portraying is that it is not really milk but it is the technology available to us today.  We use it all the time, non-stop.  It is a part of our life more than it should be.  We should be more worried about our health and the problems we go through everyday.  However, now we rely on technology to get through our issues and this is not right.  It is almost as if it is as common to use as it is to eat, sleep, and go to work or school.  We need to learn to "fly" without the use of technology.  Instead of watching tv read a book.  Get outside of that comfort zone that is technology and see parts of life in a different light.
